Eid Content Checklist for Modest Fashion Brands

Ramadan and Eid are the biggest commercial spike in the UAE calendar, and for a modest fashion brand the Eid collection sits at the centre of it. The campaign is won or lost weeks earlier, when the content is shot. This checklist puts our Eid campaign ideas for fashion brands in the order they happen: the dates, the ideas, the shoot, then what to post from two weeks before Ramadan to the week after Eid.
It goes with our Ramadan 2027 social media calendar, which maps every week and comes with a free template. This page is the short version you can tick off.
The dates for 2027
Ramadan 2027 is expected to begin on Monday 8 February and Eid Al Fitr on Tuesday 9 or Wednesday 10 March, subject to the moon sighting, as projected by the UAE Astronomy Centre and reported by The National (updated 6 October 2026). Everything else follows from those two dates:
| Milestone | 2027 dates |
|---|---|
| Shoot window | 16 November to 14 December 2026 |
| First posts, two weeks before Ramadan | From 25 January |
| Ramadan begins | Around 8 February |
| Shoppers browse Eid pieces | The first two weeks of Ramadan, 8 to 21 February |
| Last ten nights | From around 28 February |
| Eid Al Fitr | 9 or 10 March |
The first line is the studio's rule: shoot eight to twelve weeks before Ramadan begins, because retouching, marketplace uploads, paid media creative and influencer seeding all sit downstream of the shoot, and shoppers start browsing Eid pieces inside the first two weeks of Ramadan.
Ten Eid campaign ideas for fashion brands
- The Eid edit as a drop. A teaser before it, a clear launch day, then a run of styling posts after it. A drop needs all three; a single launch post leaves the rest of the week empty.
- One piece, three occasions. The same abaya styled for iftar at home, an Eid visit and the evening, so one sample carries three posts.
- The fabric up close. Embroidery lit hard enough for the stones to read, layered sheers lit from behind, a sleeve opening in slow motion: the details people zoom in on before they buy.
- Family and matching looks. Eid is a family occasion. The Heritage room suits smaller family groups, and the Lobby takes larger ones with its open floor and natural light.
- The gift guide. Pieces grouped by who they are for and what they cost, posted in the last ten nights, when Eid preparation is at its height.
- The last order date, counted down. Announce delivery dates for Eid two weeks before Ramadan, then count down to the last order date in stories.
- Creator try-ons. A creator wearing the Eid edit at home or in the studio, cut vertical for Reels, TikTok and Snapchat. Since 1 February 2026, a creator who promotes it needs an Advertiser Permit.
- Behind the scenes of the shoot. Steaming, pinning, the set being dressed: stories that keep followers watching between launch posts.
- The Eid greeting. One post on the day, scheduled in advance, in the language your customers read.
- After Eid: thank you and restock. A thank-you post, then restock news for the pieces that sold out.
The shoot checklist
- Book the studio date before you finalise the samples, not after. Dates in the window before Ramadan are the tightest of the year.
- Plan the asset list from the posting plan. As a planning count for seven weeks of posting, at four or five feed posts and one or two Reels a week: 3 to 5 hero campaign stills, 25 to 35 feed stills on model and product, 8 to 12 vertical videos and 20 to 30 stories frames.
- Shoot vertical video in the same setup as the stills. Booking a second day for video is the most avoidable cost on a small label.
- Cover the listing shots the same day: front, three quarter, back, and details of the cuff, the closure, the embroidery and the hem, so the marketplace pages go live with the campaign.
- Choose the set for the register: Heritage for the traditional Eid look, with arches, lanterns and carpet; Sand for warm editorial; the Lobby for groups and movement.
- Steam and lint-roll between setups. Black fabric shows every crease and every white thread, and every minute you do not spend with a lint roller on set becomes retouching later. Every room in our studio has a steamer and a roller.
- Set up the gifting table once, and shoot stills and video of it in the same session.
How many photos one listing needs is worked out in our abaya shot list.
The posting checklist, phase by phase
- Two weeks before Ramadan, from 25 January: a first look at the Eid edit, gifting lists, delivery dates for Eid announced, the Ramadan greeting scheduled.
- First ten days, 8 to 17 February: the Ramadan greeting on day one, calm at-home scenes, the Eid collection live.
- Middle ten days, 18 to 27 February: Eid collection Reels, sizing and delivery how-tos, quieter product posts.
- Last ten nights, from around 28 February: Eid outfits, gift guides, the last order date before Eid, the paid push.
- Eid, 9 or 10 March: the Eid greeting, family portraits, colour.
- The week after: thank-you posts and restock news.
Week by week, with every date and an editable template, the full plan is in the Ramadan 2027 calendar.
After Eid: measure the season against a season
A Ramadan month is worth comparing with the same season last year as well as with the month before, but the seasons move: Ramadan starts about eleven days earlier each year. Note the season's own dates and figures when it ends, because Instagram's in-app Insights only go back 90 days unless the account pays for Meta One, and keep anything paid apart from the organic results. Our free social media report template has the columns for it.
Arabic, English or both
Brands selling into Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and Bahrain usually need Arabic-first creative rather than an Arabic translation laid over an English layout. When to run bilingual captions and when to post separately is in Arabic, English or both.
Where we come in
BlueSky Studio shoots Eid collections in its own studio in Al Quoz and runs social media for fashion and abaya brands: the plan, the shoot, the posts and the monthly report. For the shoot on its own, the Ramadan and Eid photoshoot page covers sets, lead times and packages, and abaya photography explains how black fabric is lit.
Frequently asked questions
- When should a fashion brand shoot its Eid collection?
- Eight to twelve weeks before Ramadan begins. For 2027 that is 16 November to 14 December 2026, so retouching, uploads and paid creative are done before shoppers start browsing in the first two weeks of Ramadan.
- When is Eid Al Fitr in 2027?
- Expected on Tuesday 9 or Wednesday 10 March 2027, subject to the moon sighting, with Ramadan beginning around Monday 8 February.
- How much content does an Eid campaign need?
- As a planning count for seven weeks at four or five feed posts and one or two Reels a week: 3 to 5 hero stills, 25 to 35 feed stills, 8 to 12 vertical videos and 20 to 30 stories frames, plus the listing shots for each style.
- What should a fashion brand post on Eid day?
- The Eid greeting, scheduled in advance, and family and occasion looks. Thank-you posts and restock news follow in the days after.
- Do creators need a permit to promote an Eid collection?
- Yes. Since 1 February 2026, anyone who promotes a product on social media in the UAE needs an Advertiser Permit, and brands are expected to check it.
- When should the paid push for Eid run?
- In the last ten nights, alongside the Eid outfits, the gift guides and the last order date before Eid. Report the paid results separately from the organic ones.
